Formed in 2010 as the solo project of singer Charlize, the band from Rennes, France operates now as the duo of Charlize and Cyanure. Mutiara Damansara developed their own personal take on blackgaze, crafting a genre-fluid world where Alcest's blueprint flirts and merges with the catchy & exhuberant indie-shoegaze of bands like M83. And yet, with all their colorful sound palette and a rare gift for penning dreamlike melodies, the songs of Mutiara Damansara are stories of dark turmoil, filled with personal struggles, dread and alienation.

For this special release, These Hands Melt collected all the material Mutiara Damansara self-released to date, including two surprising cover songs exclusively available in the CD edition. All songs have been remastered by Mike Lamb (Sojourner, REMINA).
